BackgroundOriginally from the east coast, Caitlin graduated from the University of Maryland with a BA in Biochemistry in 2005. During her time in Maryland, she gained an interest in organic chemistry when she was given the opportunity to be an undergraduate TA over the summer. Caitlin began the Chemistry PhD program at UCSC the following fall and joined the Singaram research group in the spring of 2006. Her most recent achievement is her advancement to candidacy for a PhD in organic chemistry. Other InterestsAside from getting her hands on fun organic synthesis, Caitlin trains in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and practices Warrior Yoga. She also enjoys knitting, playing the guitar, and watching the Gilmore Girls over and over.
